Industry Associations
Having been key players in the playground industry for some time, SafePlay have developed invaluable associations with the many of the most instrumental and influential organisations involved in children’s play. Our involvement in various play industry associations provides us with the latest information on innovation, safety, and general trends in children’s play.
Playground and Recreation Association of Victoria - PRAV PRAV are committed to promoting the value of play and increasing play opportunities for children, young people and families. SafePlay Systems has been long-time member and contributor to PRAV is a not-for-profit, membership-based organisation that was established in 1913. Over the years they have influenced and created awareness about the importance of safe and developmentally appropriate play experiences for children.
PRAV supports and works with many different people and agencies in the community, including local government, schools, early childhood centres, playground designers and landscapers, playground manufacturers; in fact, anyone who has an interest in children and outdoor play experiences.
PRAV is the Australian representative for the International Play Association (IPA) The IPA is recognised by the United Nations Economic and Social Council, UNICEF and UNESCO.

Jeff Speake, SafePlay's Director, has been on the Committee of Management of PRAV since 1994 and was Vice President for 10 years from 1997 until September 2007.
In recognition of his efforts and support of the work of PRAV, in the promotion and development of play throughout Australia, Jeff was awarded PRAV Life Membership in October 2007.
Victorian Caravan Parks Association - VicParks SafePlay Systems have been VCPA Associate Members since 2001. The Association was formed in 1965 to protect, promote, and advance the caravan park industry. SafePlay have exhibited at many VicParks conferences and supplied playground equipment and outdoor furniture to many Caravan and Tourist Parks throughout Victoria.
