Carrington Primary School, Knoxfield

Step into the colorful world of Carrington Primary School in Knoxfield, in Knox City Council, where fun and adventure never ends! With not one, not two, but three brand new play structures, the students of Carrington Primary are in for a treat!

The first structure, the essentials structure, is packed with all the must-haves for a fantastic play experience. From the thrilling Hang ‘N’ Glide, perfect for feeling the wind in your hair as you soar through the air, to the challenging Monkey Bars that test your agility and strength, this structure has it all. But that’s not all – there’s also the Spider Net, perfect for climbing and crawling, and the Pommel Climber, which challenges students to balance and strategize their moves. And, of course, what playground would be complete without slides? The 1200 Wave Slide and the 1800 Spiral Slide are sure to be a hit with students of all ages.

But that’s just the beginning. The second structure, the elevate play structure, takes things to a whole new level – quite literally! With multiple levels of access, students can explore all corners of this structure, discovering hidden nooks and crannies along the way. The Pommel Walker and Fire Pole add exciting challenges to the mix, while the Shop Counter Panel encourages imaginative play. And, of course, there are two more slides to enjoy – the 1200 Wave Slide and the 1600 Wave Slide.

Last but not least is the orbit play structure, which takes students on a thrilling journey through a variety of challenges. The Orbit Vortex at one end is a great starting point, leading to the Sway Monkey Bars that challenge balance and coordination. From there, students can take on the Orbit Web Wall or the Hoop Challenge, both of which require strategic thinking and problem-solving skills. And finally, the Orbit Whirl is the perfect way to end the adventure – spinning and twisting until you’re dizzy with excitement!

But the benefits of play go far beyond just having fun. Play is essential for children’s physical, emotional, and social development. Climbing, jumping, and running help children develop gross motor skills, while navigating challenging play structures develops balance, coordination, and problem-solving abilities. Imaginative play, like the kind encouraged by the Free Standing Cube  and Orbs helps children develop creativity and empathy, while social play helps children build friendships and learn to work together.

So come and explore the vibrant play structures at Carrington Primary School in Knoxfield, where learning and fun go hand in hand!
