Gisborne Primary School
At the heart of the playground is the elevate structure, a lime green, orange and blue play structure that is as visually stunning as it is exciting to play on. The structure features a slide, fire pole, spider net, rope twist, orb, monkey bars, congo net and 3 more climbers, providing endless opportunities for children to challenge themselves, build strength and coordination, and have fun.
Surrounding the elevate structure are interactive panels that add to the cohesive look of the playground. These panels include observation panels, a clock panel and a kaleidoscope panel, providing opportunities for children to learn and engage with their environment in a fun and interactive way.
One of the highlights of the playground is the double wave embankment slide, which is surrounded by rubber surfacing, making it a thrilling and safe experience for children as they slide down the hill. Whether taking the stairs or rock steps up or down the hill, children will be delighted by the musical pipes that line the way. Made of stainless steel with different coloured bases, these pipes make a gorgeous sound and are a great sensory piece of equipment, engaging children’s senses and encouraging exploration and discovery.
Play is an essential part of childhood development, providing opportunities for children to build social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills. The playground we created for Gisborne Primary School is designed to encourage play and exploration, and provide children with a safe, engaging and fun environment to learn and grow.
The addition of sensory equipment, such as the musical pipes, provides children with opportunities to engage with their environment in a unique and stimulating way, helping to develop their sensory processing skills and enhancing their overall sensory experiences.
Overall, the play space we created for Gisborne Primary School is a vibrant, exciting and safe playground that will inspire children’s imaginations and provide them with opportunities to develop their physical, social and cognitive skills through play.
