Mooroolbark East Primary School

Mooroolbark East Primary School in Yarra Ranges Shire Council has recently received a fantastic playground upgrade with the installation of one of the largest Orbit structures from Safe Play to date. The playground features a tunnel web, arch rockwall, commando crossing, hoop challenge, orbit prism, vortex with a ring challenge and a reverse helix. The playground is able to fit 90 kids on this orbit structure, which is a great feature for school and community events.

To connect the new orbit playground to the existing structure, orbs and steppers were added. Other great features of this playground include a cube and a pyramid net, and two rock peaks, which are great for climbing and making cubbies underneath, providing an opportunity for children’s imagination to run wild. Sensory elements have been included, such as talk tubes which are great for talking to someone across the playground.

This playground provides a great opportunity for children to develop their motor skills, upper body strength and balance, as well as providing opportunities for imagination and social interaction. With so many features, the playground will keep the kids entertained for hours on end.
