Project Overview
Marlborough Primary School, Heathmont located in Maroondah City Council is a small school with big goals! The school’s playgrounds were in need of major upgrades – and this one in the Foundation playground was made possible by a Stronger Communities grant.
The project itself epitomises what a Strong Community looks like – the result of hard work from a bunch of committed locals: Michael Sukkar (MP – Member for Deakin), Andrew Brownlie (Rotary Club of Maroondah), the Marlborough Primary School School Council, Parent’s Association and leadership team, and US – Safe Play Australia (Maroondah based playground supplier).
It’s proof that persistence, hard-work and working together as a community can achieve big results – no matter how small you are.
